Completed! I have spent the last three months studying the major components of successful fundraising. The class was taught by senior philanthropy officers and educators. I am thrilled to add the knowledge I’ve gained from this course to my toolbox.
During the 12 week course, I not only studied topics like Strategic Planning, Annual Giving and more, I was challenged to put these skills to the test by creating fundraising plans of my own. Real-world fundraising that could benefit my client base and skills set. I worked hard and it paid off!
If you are considering pursuing your CRFE, which I am, I highly recommend this course through Boston University. It is an online, graded course. Attendance and participation is expected. Students do not receive certificates just for taking the class – your work is evaluated and assigned a grade. Only 3.0 GPA’s and higher earn the certificate. I encourage you to check it out!
These are the topics covered:
- Strategic Planning
- Annual Giving
- Major and Leadership Gifts
- Planned and Estate Giving
- Corporations and Foundations
- Capital Campaigns
- Prospect Research
- Technology-enabled Fundraising
- Volunteer Leadership Management
- Special Events
- Management & Accountability
Good luck on your way to CFRE success!
